Get Your Upper A-Arm Bolts While They Got 'Em GM #461854

In case you need them, GM p/n 461854. Each car got 4. Don't try the fatter big car bolt, as these are to fit G-body arms only.

If you need them, you'll find they're getting pricier. USUALLY this means they're going to get discontinued in the near to mid-term future when that happens. Not always, but dang, nearly 13 bucks per bolt list price is getting up there. You can typically find them for 8-10 bucks if you can get a dealer discount. That's still around $40 for a set. I got a set not that long ago and paid less than $20, and still thought that was painful.

These are the special serrated shank bolts with captured washer that hold the upper A-arms to the frame. The serrations bite into the frame holes. Yes, you can use regular shanked bolts, but these are supposed to be used more like a stud without having to hold the head with a separate wrench. Size is M12x1.75x66 with the special serrations under the head.

I'd love to grab a set as the ones I have now are just grade 8 bolts as I couldn't find these OG ones. Where you guys getting em from.

Nice, good advice and a great heads up for anyone doing a factory restoration!

I actually replaced these (with the GM OEM) all on mine when I did the QA1 suspension upgrades, only thing that sucks is you're not getting the upper arm in/out with exhaust headers in place. If I recall, we actually knocked the ORIGINAL ones out just to get the new arms in, then hammered the NEW REPLACEMENTS to get the serrated part started, and used NON LOCKING nuts to pull them in and seat the serrated part.

After they were fully locked in, I then replaced the NUTS with brand new GM OEM prevailing torque ones as well which are of a locking type (don't want them to loosen up and lose any shims); ask me how I know.

Just a little tip on the parts lookups where you might see a listing of earlier part numbers that something replaces, (see below) you can sometimes search for those older numbers and find some NOS stock somewhere, like (dare I say) eBay for less $ if someone just cleaning out an old stash of stuff.

They're serrated? Guess I shouldn't have used an impact on them. Mine aren't serrated anymore

11515750, 31022681 are other GM part numbers for the nuts. But yeah, they're like 5.75 each list price for the latest version, which is 11516073. Here's the kicker. If you get them by mail order or what not, they normally come in a pack of 10. Which means without a discount, that's almost $60.
