i installed my carpet about two years ago it never settled and still has a lot of wrinkles in it. I let it sit out in the sun and over time it still hasn't laid flat.

I'm getting ready to tear everything out and redo it all. Any ideas how I can get this carpet to lay flat? I was thinking about gluing the carpet down in certain spots and maybe using a heat gun to get some of the wrinkles out. Any suggestions?

I'm going to run the carpet up higher, a few years ago I was a little impatient and not as much of a perfectionist as I am today, want to tidy everything up a bit

Who's carpet is that and did it come with jute padding with it?

The carpet fitting well out of the box helps alot. After the way their carpet fit my brother's 78 Z28, I'll be using ACC carpet in my car. Best fit out of the box I've ever seen. We went with the mass backed. It had a few wrinkles from being crammed in the box after we got it installed and I had good luck getting them out with careful use of a heat gun.

Yeah I'm thinking about removing all of the carpet completely taking it inside and heating it with a heat gun so I can stretch the wrinkles out and then I will glue it down if I have to

I used the heat gun with the carpet installed in the car. Just rubbed the carpet with my hand while I heated it up.

That's good to know since i have my ACC brand carpet still in the box in "wait status" for when i get to the interior. I ordered mine with the mass backing from rockauto since they had the best price around. If i recall i got mine for like $155+ the ride.
