I would try the local junkyards (pic-n-pull), if you have any near you. I have a few near me and I see these columns fairly often. I believe they sell them for $60-65, of course they don't include the key. You should be able to use any g-body column from 82-87 if I'm not mistaken. Let me know if you want me to keep an eye out for you, with shipping, I can't see it being anymore than $100 or so.

I'm sure he's looking for a floorshift tilt column for his 442. They're usually gone from the cars I've seen that were equipped with them.
The column shift variety are usually alittle easier to find.

Yeah, I kind of figured that since his car is a 442 and he was asking about a GN column fitting . But I do see these columns quite often. The bucket seats and the consoles are usually long gone, but the columns are still usually there. The '78-82 floorshift column are the ones that are near impossible to find. I was looking for the longest time for a floorshift column for my '78 Cutlass, I never did see one, so I ended up scoring one on ebay for $150.00 shipped. Anyway, l'll keep my eyes out for one.

I agree, that the earlier year floor shift columns are harder to come by than the later floorshift/tilt columns. Especially for a '78 model. They're unique to that specific year and probably worth what you paid for it.
