Hey guys, long time no see. As the Cutlass is over 25 years old and now emissions exempt, I fully intend to remove the funky electrocarb/vacuum hose nightare and replace it with something a bit more simple and elegant:an Edelbrock 600 and an Accel HEI distributor. I just have a couple of trans-related questions.

1) I have a 200C now. I know I'll need a lockup controller when I install my 200-4R, but do I need it now?

2) I see that the TCI TV cable bracket dosen't fit the Performer carbs. How are you guys running the TV cable with these carbs?

Thanks for your help in advance. Excuse my ignorance, I've owned 8 cars but this is the only automatic I've ever played with.

I'm pretty sure that Edelbrock has TV cable geometry correctors available that allow it to connect to the G-Body throttle & TV cables just like the non-CCC Q-Jets do.

Awesome! Will I need a lockup converter for the 3-speed that's in there now?
