I'm getting quite good at polishing old aluminum too... But I hate the polished look, which makes me wonder why I always drag myself through the process
:blam:
... Unfortunately for me, the work is harder than necessary, cuz I'm quite ill equipped.

I try to stick to smaller parts. Doing wheels would drive me nuts

Here's a few other things brought back to life from dull finishes

I have a set of those valve covers needing a miracle buffing!

What do ya feel like spending?
I can bead or soda blast and paint as well. Powder coating may be in the future too, but we'll see.

I thought about trying to get something going on the side but the shipping eats into the cost. My avg for having them shipped has been running about $14 one way.

The wheel looks elegant compared to the old faux wood finish. Nice job.

If you feel like doing them, PM me and I will send you a pic of them (tonight), and we can talk about how much you would want to work on them.

Looks great, nice work! I think the wheel looks better w/o the wood grain.

that looks really good. Whenever I get bored I end up making something look worse

if I ever get G-Body-Vet to do any work for me I'm making sure my check doesn't bounce since I seen one of his toys..
