I wouldnt mess with it at all until you have the money to have it all done at once. Nothing worse than a primed panel that starts to rust. Save the cash over time and fix it when you can.

A guy gave me a quote for 800 if he am pull the inner panel out so he can weld it not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be

Be about $800 labor to swap out panel (if no other issues ) and the cost of parts and paint . I know as I just did one.

Out the inner panel out far enough to weld on he could do it for 800 then he is going to try and get me a good deal on a panel
