Excellent!

I am doing the same for my 1986 2+2. I stripped the block down today so I can get the block cleaned. I have a 1974 455 4 barrel that I am going to rebuild.

I sense a case of smile-itis about to come on. 455 Pontiac in a Pontiac! Love it.

Its the only way to go.SBC swaps are way overated and way over done.ive loved my pontiacs since high school.theres nothing better than poncho power!

Nice!

Any info on the motor, year, heads, etc? What are your plans for the motor, stock rebuild or something more?

I'm seeing that you have the outermost exhaust manifold bolt holes in those #66 heads. Lucky man! Some '71-'72 heads were missing those, my own '72 455 7M5 heads were missing them and I had to bevel the manifold surface for a good tight seal. So you've got a large valve, low compression torque monster there-stand back!

I cant wait! I had built 428 in a 66 grand prix.all i can say is permagrin.i think a stock 455 will be enough to keep me happy a year or two.gotta put a cam it.dude took the lifters out,the heads and pan off.gotta buy lifters, might as well get a nice cam for it.
