Well, might be a little change in plans.i went in ona deal with another guy.we bought what was supposed to be 2 running 455s.the one i took is bone stock.the other is .030 over with forged aluminum speed pro pistons.well its in a milion pieces.dude we got them from took it apart to just freshen it up with new rings, bearings, valve job and gaskets.

the guy who bought the motors with me is whining and crying cuz his was ripped apart.hes listening to a bunch of morons telling him its junk.the block and crank are at the machine shop now.theyve been checked, cylinders are perfect, crank needs a cut.now he wants to take my motor.im thinkin i might go this route.have a 30 over aluminum pistoned 455 for under 1000 bux.

I say go for it if it's a trustworthy machine shop. Might as well do it right the first time. My last machine shop experience didn't go well!

My landlord/good friend used to build motors.went to gm school fir everything, ase certified in everything back in the 80s-90s.hes says since im just gonna rering it,and the shop says the cylinders are perfect, all i need to do is run a ball hone through it and break the glaze.i can do that myself,he has the ball hones.offered to do it for me.im not afraid to put a motor tigether.ive done it before.been a mechanic over twenty years

I could have a nice monster for under 500 bux if i do the work myself.
