Grand Am Scorpion - Information?

Some more odds and ends.

There were more Pontiac dealers in Phoenix, One was Bud Beck Pontiac (602-947-6411) in 1980. Also a Sands but I don't know if they were a Pontiac only dealer.

Mecham Pontiac 4510 W. Glendale Ave, Glendale AZ (602-931-9111) In 1980.

Mecham did ship their cars to other dealers.

Two Macho T/As on the lot at Rosenthal-Hayman Pontiac, Alexandria, VA.

All Macho T/As were sold as used cars to get around EPA nonsense because the engine and emissions were modified.

Would be nice to know if the Scorpion has a 301 or something more interesting in it.

Mecham /(DKM which was Mecham's sons company) Also modified Some Z28s and L82 Corvettes in very small numbers so they did not just do T/As.

This just makes me put Mecham way ahead of any other dealer as the source of this car.
Wow, nice info! Might you be able to track down info on a Buick dealership for my Regal i have listed in my signature? I can PM you the name of it.

she said he was a salesman for the Pontiac dealer in Redding CA. the car spent it's life in one county. she said he special ordered the rarest one for his retirement.
Redding is a few miles from me. Trust me, there was only 1 such dealer ever. 🤣
