Hmm, distracted driving is a severe infraction here on our roads too. You will lose 2-4 points and fines between 150€ and 5000€, depending on the level of danger you were for others. Factors like empty/full roads, zigzag-path in your lane, no safety-gap, repeat offences, etc. play into the equation. But then again, the roads here in Luxembourg are a little overcrowded and you will hardly find a car here with less than 200hp, so the danger is real if you **** up for just a second.
On the other hand, our police-officers are quite cool. As long as you're friendly and acknowledge your misconduct they will be lenient. They won't tear you a new one, unless you were driving really reckless like a moron. Usually for anything beyond 500€, you are required to appear before a judge. The police officers will document your motoring offence, and the judge will determine what will be the penalty.
As for the revolution, our population as well as the police forces are in good terms. I think the police will be the first to join a rebellion against politicians. Idem for our small army. Main reason could be the fact that civilians here have more firearms than police and army combined. Our laws basically allow you to own any sh*t you can afford. Only two things are required: registration of the weapons and NO guided missiles or explosive rounds 😀 one gear-head in the village has a fully operational P38 Lightning. He could ammo up any moment and let the games begin 😀

It;s actually the insurance company who dictates what happens on the roads.....it's all about money and the more tickets you get the higher your insurance goes, here in Ontario we pay the highest premiums and get the least benefits.

All the centers fell out of my emblems. I paid too much for a used header emblem and used different tail lights. Sure, whatever floats your boat.
That is totally unacceptable especially in a country who's federal government legalized marijuana. Comon man!
