It will for a while but just about any paint, no matter what it's temp rating will eventually burn off.

For the engine block itself I really like the POR-15 engine enamels. Those really hold up well and you don't need such a high temp for the block.

I just actually used this VHT paint this weekend, i use engine block paint to paint my little engine parts... Has a nice shine to it... I guess Autozone recalled the Restolumn spray cans, plus in my opinion they sucked im glad they rcalled them, after a couple sprays it would spray n e more, nothing but gas/air, it would splatter all over the place, it would drip all over ur fingers..

This VHT spray cans have a nice tip, it flows on clean and no dripps!!! I paint my pulleys.. Ck it out..
As for headers its all about ur prep, i prepped my header real good, sprayed them and they still peeled after 1wk..

The proper cure process must be done to ensure any longevity of the paint. Also, do not put freshly painted headers on a fresh engine. Exhaust temperatures are higher than normal  Paint as much of the inside of the headers as possible, this will also help with the life of the paint. Clean them very good :!:

I have used it on cast manifolds and have had very good results.

Its been 5 years and they arent perfect but they are black.

I have used that line of paint on cast manifolds too. Haven't used black but had good long-term results with "cast iron" color. This is on one of my cars after about a year of use. Turns more goldish with age. Not sure how it works on headers. Nothing in a can will compare to ceramic coating.
