Has anyone here made their own headliner backing? I ordered a T-top headliner from PUI through a vendor and its been backorded for a while.

I have been thinking of getting a 1/8" composite, or hardboard and cutting it to fit the T top and using fabric adhesive to attach headliner fabric to it. I would loose the coat hooks which is fine, but the rest of it looks straight forward except for where it angles down towards the rear glass?

Or order the regular one and cut to fit?
The biggest issue with the "regular" one is that the mounting areas niches for the coat hooks are shallower on the non-T-top cars. Never tried it, but I think there will be some problems in that area. Just a guess.
