??Has Anyone Painted/Dyed their Console/Dash??

Just like the title says.... I've heard of but never seen....Products that you can use to turn a FADED center console into a New Factory colored console once again....I'm gonna do a little online research on it, but figured I would start here & get peoples opinions....Let me know what brand you used, difficulty, cost, time, & final results....thanks in Advance....

I've used SEM brand and Dupli-color's brand from the local auto store.

I like the dupli-color stuff the best.

Took my dash from a dark blue to black using it as well as a beige center console to black.

My original dash:

And after a few coats of Dupli-color black:

I used SEM's stuff too, black, looks like new!

I always used Sem brand out of my touch up gone. Make sure the parts are clean. They also make a prep cleaner. Prep is every thing when you paint anything. Paint in as dust free environment as you can with lots of ventilation and use a respirator.If you do it right you will not be able to tell it was ever an other color.

Thanks 4 all the responses...I've got a burgandy console that I need to spray grey... I also want to start looking for a dash & wanted to know if it has to be the color I needed... I think I'm gonna order some soon...

Didn't even need the search option on this one It just gets annoying seeing the same threads over and over again ...
...what rear end will fit in my GBody?
...what backspacing do I need on this rim?
...what size tire can I run?

Here you go....I ues SEM paint for my center console...and looks sweet!!!! i love the finish and no fading what so ever,..
i actually did my hole interior black...

did my whole interior black with duplicolor carpet and vinyl dye. no fading or peeling after more than 7 months and most of those were sitting outside in the sun. i think i used just over a can to do my dash. pretty sure i put 4 coats on just to be safe. light coats work best to avoid runs and get a consistant finish. the stuff is pretty cheap. i even did my carpet with it an all my interior was puke green. remember PREP IS EVERYTHING
