Update rotor turns when trying to start not sure if maybe the wiring to the cap that's not giving it spark
 
check the fuses for ECM and any other systems that do not work like before.
here are some wiring prints should be fairly close to you model

Pink wire to cap should have 12vdc with key in run and during cranking check both states they have different contacts

Not sure to be honest . I thought the wire connected to the batt+ was what was needed to power it up
Yes on a typical HEI system that would be correct, but your running a ECM so the ECM interfaces with the module in base of distributor .

should be 2 fuses for the ECM in fuse panel
 
What wire? the B++ (Pink)?
does it have a tach? if so unplug it from the cap and check for spark
Yeah I believe it's the rotor it's old as well. Wanted to replace it thought u had to have the engine turn over to do it. The clip that attaches to the rotor is damaged.
