Haha, well I guess there's no easy headers by the sound of it. Oh well, I don't mind a bit of elbow grease

I've been reading that these Flowtech's everyone has really rust fast, even the coated ones. You gonna paint your with any sort of high-temp paint to protect them from rusting? If I get those Flowtech's I plan on doing that, i'm very OCD about dirt, dust, rust, smudges. blemishes, you name it.I wish I had a summit store near me. These are the ones I wanted to get

I'll let you know the install goes when it gets done. They look nice and I'm fairly certain they came with 2.5" collectors. With how much fun it was to install the starter, can't wait to try some tight pipe fitting.
Wow, that's lookin' clean man. I need some new valve covers, was thinking black like what you have, but with raised "350" lettering. The ones on their now are rusting and are dingy.I'll probably hit them with some of my left over "semi-Gloss" high heat paint that I used on the motor. Should probably spray some into a cup and touch up the few dings on the block and fuel pump while I'm at it.

These are actually the stock vortec covers that came with the heads. If you look at the right pictures, you can see they're showing their age. Pitted and dinged up. My buddy had them bead blasted at school, we cleaned the grit out of them, then primed and painted it with the rest of the block.Wow, that's lookin' clean man. Looks better than mine still, I got a lot of detailing to do to the engine still. New headers will definitely spiffy things up a bit vs. the stock rusty old manifolds that're on it.These are actually the stock vortec covers that came with the heads. New chrome... covers are coming in the mail. Single hole ones instead of the stock ones which have 2 on one side, 1 on the other. That filler hole is odd and nothing but the filler neck seems to fit it, so it's getting tossed. Think I would rather have black ones, but black vortec covers seem to be pricey. $45 for cheap chrome works, and when it gets ugly, it gets painted.
