Looking for headers to fit ZZ4 350 with a Richmond T-10 4 speed in my 80' Monte. Any suggestions or opinions of what not to use.

Headman in my opinion has some good choices, Hooker has a few. Double check some of the older post on headers with manuals. Also are your heads with straight or angled plugs? That might limit you choices. Sure there others who could give some better ideas if your plugs are angled. My last motor had straight plugs.

You must have bought the 4 speed conversion car from the Atlanta Street Side Classics in Lithia Springs. Are you in the Atlanta area? I have a factory 4 speed '78 with a ZZ3 in it and there are definitely particular headers that will work without cutting something up. Now it's been I few years since I shopped for mine, the Sandersons just won't work at all and at the time none of the long tube headers would clear. I ended up with a epoxy coated Edlebrock T.E.S. headers though be warned, they don't match up with the D shaped exhaust ports, though would guess the power loss is negligible. They've never given me any trouble, are pretty leak free and provided NO clearance problems. Would love to see your car if your in the Atlanta area, you'd probably get a kick out mine as well, I've owned it since it was new, bought in Dec. of '78 just before my 16th birthday. Came with 305, posi, saginaw 4 speed and T-tops, black with red interior. Still in show condition with factory paint, I have the 305 I took out w/ 46K miles and the saginaw as well. I swapped in a Super T-10 shortly after putting in the ZZ3. P.M. if you like, you can hit me up at [email protected] I can send you photos if you want to see what the Edlebrock headers look like.

Sorry, meant to say Ceramic coated Edlebrock... not epoxy. It's late.

manual clutch linkage? Hedman Husler 65218 order with the street hookup kit to have collector flanges. they fit great with the clutch linkage

Hey 1980, also check out OPGI's catalogue, they show several headers that say they're floor mounted shifter capable, looks like Doug's has a set as well as Hedman as suggested earlier. When I did my Edlebrocks they were about all that was available at the time, and while I'm sure I gave up a few HP they did fit and were likely better than the standard cast iron that came on the car. I'm not even sure they still make them anymore. Good luck, your car looks great, i wanted to go see it while it was advertised though by the time I made it over to Lithia Springs you must have bought it.

Yeah, It's the one from Streetside Classics. I bought the Monte in March of this year. The car is out of a collection in Tampa, FL. The John Craddock collection. He has some of the most low mile 2nd generation Camaro's and Z28's that exist. Checkout videos on Youtube. The car almost looks like it came from the factory or should have come like this. Fun Car!! It could definitely use headers to help it out breathing. Thanks for the advise. Very much appreciated.

I researched this problem and found Summit sells a set specifically for manual floor shift SBC G-bodies. SUM-G9101. They look exactly like Patriots for a bit less. I just looked, and they are $30 off for Black Friday. Sadly, they are still in the box, so I am unable to absolutely confirm that they will fit, but I can check over the holiday.
