So I've had this problem since I bought my Malibu. And it's time I try to fix it.

The problem is with my drivers side headlight. Sometimes it only comes on really dim. Both headlights are new, and it did it with the old ones. So I'm pretty sure it's not the bulbs. Then if I barely wiggle the headlight wires, the bulb comes back on as normal. It wasn't to big an issue, but I got pulled over because of it a few weeks ago, and now a new problem developed. When the light is doing the dim thing, my front park light goes out. And the indicator (inside) stays on (just like when one of them is burned out). And still, I barely touch the wires and it all works fine, for a day or two.

Now I know most of you are thinking 'it's a short, just look for it'. But I'm hoping maybe someone on here has had the same problem and knows where the short might be. Just to save me from pulling things apart to look for it.

Any help will be great.

Take off the plug you barely "wiggle" to fix. look and see if any wires are loose or corroded. The Mag Chloride they use out here really eats the wires on our plow trucks and spreaders. You can probably buy the terminal and repair it. Sounds like its a loose wire...

Cool,, I'll check that first. I hope that's it.

Sounds like bad grounds to me. The dim light is grounding through the good side. Parking light could be the same thing, bad ground or loos wire.
