The turn signal lever on column actually "pushes" the hi/lo beam dimmer switch (away from driver) via a short rod when it's pulled backward, towards driver.

It's just a toggle between hi/lo beam each time you pull back turn signal lever.

The rod end at the hi/lo beam switch should fit into a hole in that plastic plunger it pushes against.

thanks for the hundredth time! you guys save my arse everytime on this damn build. Found the issue, it was the dimmer switch, it was too far away. Pulled it too close and it clicked once and wouldnt again, then i pulled it back a bit and now every pull of the lever gets me a click (hi/lo). Now i have just ! remaining issue. i swapped the wiper motor for a new cardone unit and put the pump cover on it, but wiper only worked one speed and doesnt sit back in its place.
