I removed my gauge bezel to attempt to repair my speedometer so in order to remove the bezel I removed the the knob to control the headlight as I have done before. When I went to put everything back together the knob wouldn't click back in the switch. So I bought what looks to be the identical switch from autozone and when I installed it, the knob clicked in but it didn't go all the way in like the last one. So after I got it installed I can pull the knob out(as to turn on the lights) and rotate it side to side like normal but the only thing that comes on are the headlights. No tail lights, cluster lights, or dome light. What's this problem that I'm having and can it be fixed cause I getting it the road in the next 2 days as my DD and I work at nights so the taillights are needed. And what is the proper way to remove the knob. The car is a 78 Buick Regal limited if that helps. Any help would be great thanks

there is a little pin what looks like nail head whit little spring you must press it in to remove or install knob

i add some photo its different switch but on yours this button looks the same
