Thanks guys, the worst parts of it is getting it clean, a lot of sanding and I hate sanding, but I forced myself to do it. It's along ways from perfect, but looks much better than it did. I will install it tomorrow and take some interior pics.

Understand completely!!! I've done 4 Monte Carlos, 2 Malibu's (First time wrong adhesive) and 2 El Camino's.
When asked to do more I told them to call 1-800 GET BENT and have their people schedule a time with my people.

Very time consuming job, Looks like you ended up with great results!
Again Nice Job!!!!

I was just mouthing with flag. I would help someone, just the way I am. Its not a hard job, just a PITA. If it just last awhile now.

Funny part I'm just the same way. May have thought of giving the phone number......instead pitched in to make the job happen.
The oldest recover is in my 79 Monte Carlo and that is going on 25 years holding strong.

Got it installed. I like the results.

Heck yeah man, looks great! I'm hoping when I redo mine soon it turns out that good. The sucky part is mine, which is the same color as yours looks great but my interior is going through a color change so it HAS to be done.

Nice job, well done. I was going to suggest that a decent interior shop will do it for not much more than the materials cost. My wagon is two sections and it ran me $75 for the both with me installing it. But as you found out, preparation is key. The best shop in the world can't make a bad backing board look good. I had to patch mine as best as I could, so that it came out OK.
