EEeeeeeeeeeeeew. That's fugly, IMO. I'd never do that. I'd go with the inline.

I've been running 60s, 70s, 80s Chevys since they were new. I bypassed the heater on about half of them to improve a/c performance in the summer. (and sometimes to keep the heater core from leaking inside the car.) I always put a crossing hose with two valves between the in and out lines to the heater core. Put them up as close to the fire wall as I could. Last time I did it, ,it cost about $20 USD and took about an hour. They work like a charm.

Just mount it in the front of the SBC intake.

Thats what that hole is there for.

What intake are you using that doesnt have that hole?

I want it near the heater core and the vacuum line, I already have a lot going on near the front of the intake so it wouldn't fit even if I wanted it there.
