So I just pulled the 307 Olds from my 86' Regal which has a heater bypass valve mounted directly to the intake and since I will running AC and will be installing a SBC I will have no provisions to mount it on the intake so I am thinking a universal style vacuum operated in hose one should work and I am wondering what I should use,

I found this one for a Ford, maybe an alternative to the plastic one?

Just mount it in the front of the SBC intake.

Thats what that hole is there for.

What intake are you using that doesnt have that hole?

I don't think any Chevy engine owner in their right mind wants that big assed Olds goober valve hanging off the FRONT of their engine. It's bad enough Olds uses it on the back. Besides, isn't the hole sizes smaller on the Chevy intake? Would it fit?

I must not be in my right mind then because I mounted it in the front hole of the intake. Heater hoses are very short so this is where I put mine. Don't even really notice it behind the alternator.
