The tubes certainly do not look the same. The length of the tube before the bend on the original one is much longer than the replacement core. Could it be that the new one is for non ac if you ac or visa versa? I would defiantly have the original one repaired

Yeah that's the route I believe I'm going to go , is to get repaired

Seen the same thing just the other day. What brand I'd that one ?
Get a spectra it will be the exact same as your original exceptin aluminum iinstead of copper.

I used an aluminum replacement, worked fine for me.
