Hello everyone, Just found this cool forum, I see that it would take me hours to go through it to get the info I'm looking for, etc. so...I'm wondering if you boys can help me out. I've got the somewhat original rare light green metallic (perfect girls car) and when we bought it new, it had a 6 cylinder that would not even get up a hill! So we garaged it until I got my DL then worked my way up through the small block division, my last one was a great small block, but I always dreamed of having a big block in my Monte. Put one in there, but the guy who put it in messed it up so bad the windage tray went through the motor. I could feel it as I was driving it! UGH. So I figured I am going to have to spend some serious dough and get a good Big block in there, which I have now. I bought a barely used 454 and we honed it out to be a 468, I have an 1150 Dominator carb. on it, and many other things, too much to list.
I'm looking for some different bucket seats; originally the green ones only came with bench seats, so I bought some JAZ buckets that were all black, but since I'm a girl, I had to have it customized! I was lucky to find the original material that they used in those cars, and I had the inserts in the middle redone with the green material.
I need to find an entire hood with the cowl on it, at least 3" because I had to try to have a body shop do my original hood with a separate cowl and every time I drive it and crank on it, I see more cracks around the area where they put the cowl on.
I also am looking for the orininal style bucket seats for a MC so I can have them recovered. I had a horrible neurosurgical surgery and getting in and out of it with the JAZ racing seats is a bit hard now.
I have Convo Pro rims on it, and barely street legal tires, you know the ones that really aren't street legal, but the company put a couple little lines in the tires so they can be "street legal" LOL Am looking forward to hearing from anyone that can give me some direction in finding these items. Thanks!!!

It certainly is good to see more female members. There are more out there, but they haven't emerged in a while.
Post some pics of your ride. The light metallic green is a cool color, you either love it or you hate it.

Welcome!! 😀 and I agree nothing wrong with some women getting on here and talking! Please get some pics posted sounds like we all need to see your talent and your vision!

Welcome🙂 Can't wait to see some pictures of your car.

Girl or guy it's great to have enthusiast that keep our car calture alive. My mother is the type that will never hesitate to get grease under her nails. She was a big part of restoring my dads 63 impala SS. And she's getting ready to start on a 67 G T O.
But a Big Block. WoW! Way to go for it. Keep at it and enjoy the ride.
