I have to wear one to leave the house, but it's just a glorified bike helmet. My race helmet is way expired (SN2005), and it's only a matter of time before the Tech Man sends me home. I have a G-force with a chin bar and visor (looks like a motocross). What's y'all gots?

I'd be dead today if I had not upgraded my Open Face to a Closed face helmet, not because the visor did anything, or my head hit anything too hard, but the HANS device that attachment on the new helmet kept my head from coming off my spine when I ran into a hillside @ 110 mph and rolled 8 times.

My back is a little worse for wear, however.

Fox racing... Purdy lookin' and comfy. I know it's not car related but I've got a pair of Alpinestars tech 5 motocross boots too. Won't ride without em.

I used to only use HJC helmets, had one with a 1995 rating, 2000, and 2005. When I realized my skull bucket was well over ten years old and my head got fatter since highschool... I decided it was time for a new one. They made MX helmets way more spacious back in the 90's and early 2000's. My 1995 spec one is still the most comfortable. I can't even get my fat head in the Bell, HJC, Arai, or Shoei, helmets they make now, only Fox fit.

I just brought my MX helmet the few times I went to the track and no one asked any questions.
