You are getting to be quite the g body collector. Looks like a challenging project. Good luck with it. What is it that you really like about that year or model?
Haha what can I say, I really love g bodys! I like the transition from the all chrome regals to the black Gn. T types are what I like. I wish it was a cold air setup but it's not. And I love t tops lol.

There are a lot of after market stuff for them. You can make it a ic car with a kit, or switch the headers and intake to a 86,87. There are standalone engine harnesses for those engines too. The Buick guys should be able to help you out with finding the missing pieces. Have you been driving the Monte?

Ls? A chevy motor? Well I have seen some buzz about them on these sites but I'm not to sure of all the specifics. Maybe you could enlighten me. This car is the car I have always wanted, and I just want it to be the best it can be. I'm a body man not a full throttle gear head, so I'm a little slow when it comes to these swaps and upgrades.
yes.....I would go with a complete iron truck motor (4.8, 5.3 or 6.0l). 4l80e transmission. forward facing exh manifolds, fabricate a crossover pipe, master power turbo, reworked factory wiring harness. you can make a reliable 5-600 rwhp on a reasonable budget.

No not yet, I pulled out of the shop a few times. I need to rebuild the carb.. keeps flooding out on me. I have so many projects and family activities in the summer that it's hard to focus. Not having AC in my shop sucks too! Lol

Yeah, after looking at this again you would pretty much have to get a whole new firewall forward wiring harness. With an 86/87 harness you'd be able to upgrade to an 86/87 style top end with the front mounted turbo and added intercooler. Much better setup than the hot air cars.
