help stripped transmission coolant nut!

i was driving today and when i pulled my car in my driveway i smelled antifreeze, walked outside, opened the hood and there was antifreeze all over the ground. long story short; i got a new radiator and while i was trying to take the old one out, i didnt have a brake line wrench so i used a regular one to take the transmission lines out...the top one came right out but the bottom one didnt and me being time restricted and not having the right tools tried again and again...im soo stupid. the car is sitting at my moms house which is a good 25 min away...can anyone tell me what to try to get it off and would i be able to use the" nut "again. thanks
 
vice grips--work everytime. sometimes i even go so tight as to need another set of pliers to fully close the vice grips
 
pipe wrench would pry work better, more bite on it vice grips tend to just slip around. Advise against it but you might be able to use the old fitting by putting it back on the same way if it didnt mark it up to much other then that do it properly.
 
Once you get the line off, you might be able to cut the old nut off and put a new one on and reflare depending on how much line you have to work with.
 
Hit it with a hammer!!! On a serious note I did what FE3X mentioned but makedamnsure you leave yourself enough line to have it comfortably reach the radiator again with having to pull it too tight. Also clean the threads on the radiator itself because there known as being a b*tch. A good idea to help prevent cross threading is to start the nut by hand to make sure it doesnt go in crooked rather than just screwing it in there with a wrench :doh:
 
if you don't have a flaring tool you can always cut the line a few inches back with a pipe cutter, then put a new nut on the line to use with the existing flare and use a compression union to rejoin the line
