air shocks may help also

22s fit a gbody with out lifting if u want it to sit a little higher just get a set of new stock springs and bering it back up to stock as im guessing u have the old stock spring. spring ware out over time and the car will drop.but with 22s no life is needed with good springs.imo gbody shouldent be lifted 22s is as big as u can go with out lifting and dont look bad any bigger with a lift makes them look like a wanna be truck but thats just me

Might want to check your ball joints while u got everythin apart. if you have the originals still on might wanna change them just top be safe. They are cheep and easy to replace while ya got everything apart. Also the auto parts stores around here rent those spring compressors out no use buying them for one time use. Hope u have a air compressor cause cranking on those by hand sucks.

I went and picked up my new coil springs yesterday. My buddy wants to wait until after Christmas to help me out, so we'll probably start sometime next week. I read that 22's will diminish stopping power. What could I do to increase my braking power?

Yes the increased weight of the rims will increase the amount of room it takes to stop.
Increase your breaking power, you can do a front disc upgrade, swap the power brake system over to a hydroboost system.

A friend of mine has a 2003 or so chrysler 300 with 24's on it and he has stock brakes. my 78 monte has 13" vette brakes up front, 12" camaro rear brakes and hydroboost. i can out brake his 300 by 12 car lengths from 75mph. so yes you can upgrade an old g-body to brake really well and better than most new cars

I need a front left brake caliper and rotor as is. I was looking performance calipers and rotors. With this increase my braking power?

there is not really a performance caliper for a stock g-body, rotors you can get in slotted for cheap if you know where to look. the calipers i've seen a larger piston but that's not a whole lot of upgrade.
You have to remember the stock braking on the g-body is marginal to begin with, small rotors only 10" diameter and small single piston calipers

I've done some reading today and I see some people saying that their 22's rub after they install new shocks and springs. I was wondering if getting a 22x8.5 instead of a 22x9.5 might decrease my chances of rubbing?
