My 1988 s10 daily driver is havin some funny wiring issues it started sunday leavin work it bogged for a second and almost stalled when i hit the gas but i figured it was the weather combined with bein a little chilly out. Well later that night at my moms i go to start it and it takes about 30to45 seconds to fire crankin it over when usually it fires in six or seven cranks (about 7 to 13seconds) well it goes from there to my house and i park it for a few minutes run inside and come out try to start it and it turns over but doesnt fire i realize about 20 seconds in i dont hear the fuel pump well i got underneath the truck checked my wires in the frame rail to make sure i dont have a short groundin out somewhere and i dont see anything. Finally get it started drive it to autozone and its actin weird on the way my tail light fuse blew killin the dash lights on the way there. i went there to see if they have an obd1 key to check if my dash will flash any codes but when i pull up theyre closin for the night. I check the wires in the frame rail again dont see anything. Pulled over to a light in the parking lot to see if its a melted wire under the hood somewhere still nothing (checked the ussual spots nothin) checked the wires that run the driver fender for the lights and nothin. Checked the fuel pump relay with another one i had on hand in the truck because it had died again. Pulled the angled cover things on the back of the fuse block to see if any wires had melted there from when i accidentally pinched a wire a week previously from havin the wrong windshield washer tank on it(didnt really notice it pinched until my gas gauge was actin up by droppin to nothin under moderate braking but returning to normal after deceleration ceased ) had it working again. Well now after trying to trace the short for the tail lights with a 20 amp cycling relay the lights would stay on for a few seconds then pop the relay i let it cycle a few times and still didnt see anything. Well now the problem is no head lights, tail lights , dash lights or fuel pump, but it cranks over the hazard flashers and turn signals work and my idiot lights work . i got it to start one last time before i called my buddy to push me with his truck down the road to my house but when it started it ran until i turned on the headlights then bogged down and died and refuses to start again. Its a brand new fuel pump, lights and fuel pump relay as well
