I think your wagon looks great with the wood. The 81 nose is my favorite thats why I held off my resoration of my 81 and bought a second 81. If the funds are there one of them will be a woodie.

A two wagon household. Cool! Can we see pics of your other '81 Safari? It looks nice from the distant shot from the street.

Thanks I think is cool, Pics of the Blue wagon are here viewtopic.php?f=38&t=23169 . (Under 81 Safari wagon, in wagons). The blue wagon is first to be worked on, hopefully starting this month or Feb. I dont know that much about Gbodys so ive been reading everything I can on this forum, Plans are Painter is lined up to start when the money is there, first thought was a 400bb, 200R trans and 8.5 rear. now im thinking LS2 GTO motor and trans. But I plan on taking Pics of whatever I do and Posting them. The Blue 81 is a rust free plain jane car, crank down windows etc. The Green 81 is loaded, power windows front and rear and vents, power seats, rust free and all the trim is there for a woodie.

Lose the wheels and put some nice Pontiac rallye II's on it. Then you'd have a kick-*ss combo with the wood.

Well, it had them on it, but 14x6 aint going to cut it....and for what people want for a decent set of 15s, I'll buy something aftermarket. I'd really rather have 16 or 17s anyway. The Sonoma wheels were already on hand so i thought I'd try them out.

Looks great! I'm glad to see more people embracing the woodgrain... And definately keep the Bonneville nose!
I can't wait to get my Olds wagon painted, and it'll have the woody treatment as well!
