I have a question. Does anyone know if a 83 cutlass frame will work on a 78 el camino? Thanks....

There's roughly a 6" difference between the wheelbase of the Cutlass and the wheelbase of an El Camino (El Camino is longer). Also, the rear of the frame rails are different due to differences in body mount locations.

no you need a G body wagon frame a regular one is too short.
A G-body wagon frame is about the same length as a sedan or coupe.' so that won't help you. The El Camino is the longest out of the G-body cars.

People always were under that misconception that a wagon frame is as long as an Elky frame. You would think that was the case due to the similarities in body style.
Unfortunately, the El Camino frame is unique to the El Camino.

The El camino/Caballero have a 117" wheel base as the coupes/sedans/wagons have a 108" wheel base.
