Hi Everyone, Just a quick hello. I have been reading the posts but this is the first time I post anything. I live in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, I have always been into cars, trucks, motorcycles, basically anything with a motor from the time I was a young guy. My 3 kids have grown and moved out on there own, I thought it time that daddy gets a new toy. I bought a 1982 Buick Regal. I bought it from a guy that bought it from an estate auction in 2010, this is the story I was told by the previous owner.
The first owner purchased the car in 1982 and owned it for 3 yrs, he traded it in and the next owner purchased it in 1985 it sat in his garage for almost all of the 25yrs that he owned it. The guy I bought it from stated that the car was in such good shape (body, underside and frame) that he wanted to bring it back to original condition. The original engine was replaced with a rebuilt 350 engine and the transmission is a 200 4r. All movable parts under the car have been replaced. The car runs mint and I never worry about taking it out and breaking down, it is just as or more dependable than any of my new cars I own. I also found the original bill of sale in the glove box!! I buy sell trade swap just about anything if it's not tied down but this car is so comfortable that it will be in my family for a while. I bought the car with 75000km on the body and approx 10km onthe drivetrain, it now has 82,000km and all I have done is regular maintenance items.
