Hey, the Hi speed on my a/c fan went out. The other 3 speeds work. Any ideas what went wrong? Same thing happened with my '78.

Thanks!

I'm assuming it's the same with your heat as well.........No worries, easy fix...just get a new relay is all.....I had the same issue a while back with my grand am.....only the first two speeds were shot...the 3rd and 4th still worked though...either way, not that hard of a fix 🙂

Check the connector coming from the engine harness, the red wire is most likely messed up in the connector. Happens all the time.

Thanks alot for the advice, guys. I'll check all 3 & let you know what the issue wound up being.

BTW, this happened to my '78 years ago, too. I've heard this is a common problem.

I'll go with what Mudweiser says. Very easy fix. Contacts usually get alittle tarnished. Some light grit sandpaper to burnish the contacts and in most cases, you're good to go.

Haven't quite fiddled with high speed yet, but thought the compressor went out until Tony found that one of the harness plugs was loose. Works like a charm now! Got to drive it today. Aahhhhh, how nice it was.
