HID Lights

I am revealing my secret,

DDMTuning.com their DDM kit is cheap and reliable. I have two on my SUV pictured have had them for about 2 years now. They make a 55w kit i would not suggest that kit because they wash out the color so if you want a bluish hue dont get them. They also have a Hi/Lo kit but i dont believe it will work on the cutlass because their hi's and lo's are seperate. But for the most part they are cheap reliable and the company is in the united states and you can call them for trouble with your kit or shipment, unlike most of the others which are in China and japan.

From what I've read, the more blue the light becomes, the less light output you have anyway. You actually get the most light out put in the 4300-6000k range. Anything more than that is a waste.

They're separate but use the same bulb. At least on the '87/'88 composite headlight front ends, 9004 bulb is a dual filament so has both low and high beams built-in.
But with the HID setup, since there are no "filaments" but rather gas, I would assume for the brights, you would need to by the hi/lo kit and just a regular kit for the low beams.

That's is definitely cheap. Almost too cheap to sound legit. But it would be worth giving them a try and see how they work for no more than they cost. Heck I bought Sylvania Silverstar's for my Intrigue and really like them but it cost me something like $75 for all the lights.

I have 8000 or 10000, the 55w washed out my headlights, but my fogs are still 35w and bluish and are brighter than my headlights and at night as long as they are not blue or purple 12000k and up they are ridiculously bright.

The HI/LO kit the HID bulbs have 2 of whatever HID bulbs have in them, but you have to have a car that accepts 2 filament bulbs. I have like 9004 on my SUV headlights which is a dual filament bulb. So my HI/LO came with a switch and 2 something inside of them bulbs and it switches just like factory HI/LO. In fact my lo's dont even unecessarily blind people, my HI's of course do.

I bought them and i have no reason to lie about the quality and the experience i have had with the company. I ordered a pair for a friend and one of the bulbs came in broken. I gave them a call and they handled it within a week. I called them with installation confusion and they helped me over the phone also. Again my freind after purchasing faulty headlights from other companies bought a pair from DDM and he insisted that they were better than the other 3 kits he had previously purchased. Yes they are cheap but at least you can talk to them and send them back if there are any issues. tehy are way better than silverstars ! 😀

Dont be so skeptical FE3X, I am a noob to this website, but not a complete noob to life..... 😀 and you do give very good advice so please dont stop advising me !

true the 4300-6000k are the brightest but almost to brite of white and at times aka (blinding). so i wouldn't say that anything 6k & up is a waste, mine are 8000k and by far much better than the stock light output, in low or high beam conditions. they also have just a bit of the blue hue in them which makes them sick.

It's all good. I'm not doubting you at all. I was just saying that they are a great deal for a true HID light when I had spent $75 for Sliverstar's that aren't.
