hockey puck body mounts

It MIGHT work well, but fixing correctly will work well for sure.
Body mounts and rusty frames are common issues for most of these cars( as we all know) so if this were my issue, Id fix it right the first time and would advise the same. I love saving money and all that too, but some things should just be done the right way.
2 tons of fun at highway speeds makes me want to do everything I can from repairs to upgrades correctly.

From the posts ive seen so far weve just been discussing the viability of something . But now its turning into a "i said no, you better listen or your grounded" type of conversation now if the pressure could be given for the test that split the puck could be given, or it could be repeated with plates that completely cover the puck so that it would evenly disperse the weight instead of a partially compressed puck that split in the portion between the compression zone and the decompression zone

Some parts of the frame are narrow enough for a standard puck to overhang it like the plates in the test picture. The number 2 mount stock size bushings just barely sit flat before the frame curves up. A puck there would need to have a side cut off so it would not be deformed by the frame's slope near it.

As for a metal collar, I was talking about a sleeve that goes inside the middle bolt hole of the bushings like the stockers use. The stockers and aftermarket polys ase use large washers that covers the whole face to go between the body and bushing.

As for stock engines being too weak, my former 110 HP 3.8 still caused stress cracks in the body and could still shake the whole car. It doesn't take much HP to break weak parts. The 305 I swapped in made the cracks worse, which is why I am spending most of my time on body reinforcing now.
