Holley motor mount issue

I have the Holley kit and passenger valve cover won’t go on hitting the ac box. I had a tough time bolt
ing in the mounts and don’t want to go through that again. Can I cut into ac box and reshape it with fiberglass?

Yes from what I've read that's what can be done

So I tried mounting the engine today and I could not get these brackets to go in the clamshell, do these look like the wrong ones? Looks like yours are 2inches to center of hole and the hole in mines start at 2inches.

Might try leaving clams loose to frame so you have some adjustment

Yeah I had them loose the whole time and when one side would go in the other wouldn’t. I tried having the brackets bolted to the block, then I tried having them on the shells with no luck. Then I tried having everything on the block and lowering on frame and the holes on the frame wouldn’t line up to the ones on the clamshells. On the pictures you can see the holes and that was already with the block all the way down

So I might of had the bushing inserts in the wrong way🤦‍♂️ Will try next week.

Yup I had bushings in the wrong way. Went in so easy by myself in about 30min! Holly instructions are crap they never mentioned this!

This is how they need to go on incase anyone ever needs the help.

I just ordered the Holley engine and transmission mount kit a few weeks ago. The clam shell brackets are on backorder until Aug. I found some on Amazon and should receive them Monday. Thanks for the pictures on the brackets, I will double check mine to make sure I have the correct ones.
