Hood Cowl Chrome Trim - How is it attached?

My '85 GP's hood trim around the cowl is coming loose on one side. I can't figure out how it attached to the car.... Clips, glue, hope, dreams what?

It's just pushed on, nothing holding the trim in place other than friction.

So if it's coming loose what's the fix? pushing it back on did not work. Is it metal trim where I crimp it down and then put it back on?

Couple dabs of automotive silicone glue along the edge, attach molding and use tape to hold in place until glue sets. Wipe excess glue before it dries.
