How to get hood latch release back in

Little metal tab on first pic near the metal ferrule. That tab needs to be opened up, slide the cable in and close the clamp back, done.

Not right one man, the one circled in yellow is designed for that. When you pull the handle it releases the latch. But hey, I guess if it works then decent.

But I notice u can move the plate the latch is on and got it working

That plate shouldn't move at all. I'm not home right now, but later I'll get you some pics.
