Is it possible?
Came back from a 1/2 hour slow speed drive last night and noticed both front corners of the hood were above the fenders by an 1/8". There is clearance at the rubber hood bumpers and the hood latch is good
Funny, when I installed the front body parts everything was aligned well with nothing protruding excessively.
So this morning I go to get my 5 lb sledge to perform a minor adjustment and lo and behold - the hood is flush.

Ed,
Well ,the hood saw you coming with adjustment tool..and you scared it back into shape.

did the car sit in the sun for a few hours, at say a show & shine ?

Metal expanding in the heat...

Outside temps were moderate and it was evening and it's white paint.
The front hood corners had actually lifted their bumpers off the rad supp.
The hood has the insulator - don't know if that keeps hood cooler or traps the heat after a drive when you get heat soak.

the DS front of my hood does that as well when it gets hot out. Maybe its a white car thing LOL

Which car shows do you tend to attend BTW ? I have been making the rounds this summer with my son. We even venture past Yonge St on occasion ( gasp ! ). We did Princess Auto on McCowan 2 weeks ago and on Monday I may hit the Markham show weather permitting. I see the same cars at the shows for 10 years now on the west end of the city so time to venture out whilst the boy has interest.

A Solution...I lowered the hood lock latch by an 1/8" so it's just below the top surface of the nose. Then the rubber bumper were readjusted on a cold hood to just below flush. I feel this tensions the hood and when it warms now there is less to none lifting of the sides.

I like finding solutions to 'non problems' just because I can.

You need to come align the backside of my Monte...
