Hi,
Just installed a 2-spoke sport wheel, which came with the pin, spring, and retainer. No horn after installing wheel/horn center. It appears that the horn button contact is not reaching the pin; I installed spring first, then pin, then retainer. When I ground the pin out, the horn blows. Anyone have this issue before? Am I missing something? I had the old "granny" wheel prior.

Thanks!
Tom

I think the the problem is the pin is too short or you put the pin in backwards

I definitely put the pin in correctly (sitting on the spring rather than in it). You are probably right about the pin length, though the guy who sold me the wheel and hardware is a parts guru, and swears it's correct. Maybe the spring isn't pushing it out far enough. I have a ton of springs, but could take a lot of wheel on and off to get right, because I'll have too much horn if the spring pushes it out TOO far.
