Today at work I noticed my boss looking at a vehicle that was running like azz. He was fidgeting with the scope and scanner and appeared perplexed. I watched as he scrolled through the engine data and I noticed quickly fuel trim was way off on one bank and the 02 sensor was dead. He said ohh I didn’t notice that. My dum story for the day. Lol

Sometimes it's the simplest things. I used to deliver the mail to a Ford dealer. They had a brand new 1976 LTD (?) sitting there idling like crap. They had all the big shots standing there with their clipboards scratching their heads. As I strolled past them I remarked that "It sounds like the EGR is stuck on". It was supposed to shut off at idle. That was a common problem back then. They gave me dirty looks and laughed among themselves. They probably still don't know what was wrong.
