Ok took the intake off. Cleaned up everything. Smeared rtv around all the ports on the heads then smeared rtv on the upper gasket every port. Got the bolts in except for the drivers side next to the carb. Fought for two hours trying to get it in. Instead of a hole its a slot slightly smaller than the friggin threads. Went in a criss cross pattern tighting it up. Then it started pouring rain. Haven't added fluids yet. Not in the mood for criticism every bolt on the intake was finger tight. Except for where the corner of the gasket was gone and pukeing antifreeze.

RTV around the ports is a sure-fire recipe for intake (vacuum) leaks down the road.

What exactly (year, engine) is this on? Sure the gasket didn't shift?

Yea got it on. Had to use my dremel and open the slot a tiny bit. I followed the directions from felpro. 86 Olds 307. Threw in some coolant drove it around town for 25-30 mins. Seems fine I'll check in the morning to see if I used any. But if I was leaking it would of emptied the coolant resv first? Also I searched the treads and exactly like my Datsun fourms I found nothing on vacuum diagrams. All mine are cracked and rotted. The AC/delco box on the drivers side has no lines connected. Sure that's why my secondary is not opening.: (
