How do I make my 454 quiet?

I have the Dynomax Super Turbos on several cars and they do sound nice, but not stock car quiet. When I had a Pontiac 400 in my Malibu wagon I thought if I put a stock type replacement Walker on each side of true duals it would be super quiet yet flow great. Well they did flow great, but were not quiet all all! Conversely, I used a single Super Turbo on the same motor but as a single pipe exhaust and it was quiet! I'm still mystified by that. Some thing to do with the resonance of 4 cylinders vs 8 cylinders. On my current 301 wagon I ended up using the biggest size single pipe Walker replacement system Rock Auto offered, '78 ElCamino 350 I think, and it is very quiet.

Walker Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers are some of the best at keeping big cubes quiet yet still have a nice mellow tone.. I had them on my Pontiac ported 462 and they were too quiet.. I ended up with long 6" round Magna Flow packs...

A Crossover pipe made my car louder, the X pipe will make it sound like a V-6, in my opinion...

Walker/DynoMax Hemi Super Turbo mufflers.

They also make them for motorhome/RV even quieter.

Best, highest flowing turbo muffler is the DynoMax Super Turbo.....deep mellow sound...

I have these on my Lincoln and they sound great with a nice mellow sound, I didn't want anything loud but wanted something better flowing than stock.
