how do i remove dashboarrd step by step where are the bolts located..how many bolt hold the dash board i know i got remove the cluster air controlled glove box any info thank in advance

There are three bolts underneath the dash one near the driver kick panel, one near the passenger kick panel and one on the right-side underneath the radio housing. Along the windshield there are 4 (the amount may be wrong) long screws. unscrew the dash piece under the steering column and drop the column by taking out the two bolts holding it up. Take all the wooden trim faces off and unplug your headlights switch and any clocks or what have you. Underneath the Gauge cluster (the whole part that comes out at you) there should be 4 (again the amount may be wrong) short screws holding this in and inside this piece at the top there are a few more. Given you've taken the radio and ac face out if I'm correct it should just pull out. I did this a while back so i don't have a lot of factory things holding on to mine so there may be a few misc things i didn't include but that should be all the bolts holding it in.

this is a direct quote from my chiltons:
1. disconnect the negative battery cable.
2open the doors and check for retaining screws on the sides of the instrument pannel. if present, remove the screws from the instrument panel sides.
3. if equipped, remove the screws attaching the instrument panel pad from the instrument panel.
4.remove defogger grills and remove the screws located under the grilles and in front of the panel pad.
5. if equipped, remove the instrument panel pan from the panel.
6. remove the lower unstrument panel trim pieces or sound insulators as equipped and necessary
**WHEN REMOVING ANY PLASTIC PIECES OF THE DASHBOARD ASSEMBILY, REMEMBER NEVER TO FORCE AND BREAK PIECES. IF A CORNER OR END OF A COMPONENT WILL NOT MOVE FREELY, THERE IS LIKELY A SCREW OR RETAINER THAT WAS MISSED AND MUST BE RELEASED BEFORE THAT PIECE CAN BE REMOVED WITHOUT DAMAGE.**
7. remove the instrument cluster from the panel. for details, please refer to section 6 of this manual. (aka ask me later)
8. remove steering column retaining nuts and carefully lower column onto drivers seat.
9. remove any upper and lower instrument panel-to-cowl screws.
10. disconnect and remove all electrical wiring from under the the dash panel.
11. make sure all retainers have been removed, then carefully remove the instrument panel assembly from the vehicle.

If i want to change the colors in my guages..i have to go through all this?

no you can just take off the section that surrounds them and they all come out easy peasy!!

theres little #11 nuts i think on the back that hold the info ribbon to the contacts. take a small wrench and LIGHTLY tighten them. 9 out of 10 times they comes lose and thats why the gauges act up. trust me they'll strip easy so dont over tighten them! on the last one i did (my 87) i opted not to remove the speedo cable and just pulled it out as far as i could, which is only about an inch an a half but its enough to get in there and tighten those bolts. also id grab about 14 little lights to replace all the bulbs while your in there. they sell blue or red ones and i triied the blue but its pretty much just white light so im going to change them all to red and see how it looks. good luck man! let me know how things turn out.
