i got to install some new backing plates and i have no clue on how to remove the parking brake cable from it. looks like there is some sort of clip holding it in place. can someone give me an idea on how to remove it.

remove the cable from the E-brake arm and slide a 1/2 or 9/16 box wrench over the end.it has to be a 6 point wrench or this wont work. having the wrench in one had work the wrench back and forth over the end of the cable while pulling on the cable from the outside sooner or later it will come out

okay ill try that tomorrow. so pretty much i got to get that clip to compress so i can slip the cable out
