How far should I go?

I’m pretty sure the 305 has some wiped lobes too.
My budget is very limiting this car. I pretty much only spend what I make selling parts and such. If I can get away with a cam, intake, gaskets, chain, and such I’ll be happy. I figured if I rebuild it, I’ll go 383. Otherwise I’d like to do a boring truck ls swap

if you're looking to save a few bucks in the build,my friend's dad has had good luck over the years using summit cam & lifter kits.just a thought.
