How to attach inner door belt ?

Not sure if different brands install differently, but looking for input from guys who have replaced inner door belt molding/dew sweeps. The brand I just rec'd from Summit is Metro. There is no hardware or installation instructions in the packaging. So, guys who have done this, I'm looking for advice on how to reinstall. When removing the factory inner, I removed 9 heavy metal staples. Are you using screws? If so, what size/type?

I used screws in mine when I did it last year. The new ones came with staples and I tossed them for small self tappets. I didnt have a staple gun for metal and screws are just easier. I got the shortest phillips head self tappet I could find.
