so the factory cover in my car that goes in the rear deck at the bottom of the window has had that fabric peeling off for a while, so I took it off to investigate and to my findings it had cracked into two pieces( the cardbord) so my question is has anyone else every had this happen how did you fix it? I will be recovering it but i want it fixed back into 1 peice first thanks

duct tape it up then recover it with headliner material will look good as new

get your hands on some fiberglass, it will do wonders, or you can buy a replacement, there a post on here with someone selling them with 6x9 cutouts already. i wan't to say it's gsi interiors.

I'd just look at all the G bodies at the local junkyards and find a solid one to start with. If it is carpeted, clean the carpet with simple green and water, let it dry and dye it. Remember that some lower end models (mostly Monte's) came with a rear deck that is painted cardboard. These would be easiest to upholster if you wish to go that route. On my car, I just painted the carpet with the SEM vinyl dye I had to touch up some faded interior parts and it came out pretty good. Then again, I am not going for anything more than clean and stock on my interior, you may want something different.

Im gona try the fiber glass cause i got some layn around and Im broke so anything i can fix is better than new, plus im not even running a stereo so 6x9 cut outs dont matter

glassed the back side tonight i want to do the other side so i ripped off the rest of the material but now there is tons of fuzzy stuff... should i sand that off?
