There is a chrome kit....but its not cheap. Id tape off all areas, sand with a scotch bright pad, paint it with adhesion promoter, spray the chrome paint, then go over it with a clear coat paint....as for spraying chrome on the grilles....good luck with that!

How do you think the grills would turn out if you sprayed them all black then just did the front side of it with chrome paint? Been thinking about doing that with my grills to maybe make it pop a little more.

I thought about doing that if I could find some 86 grilles, which actually came that way on 442's and some salons...but the 85 grilles are would require a whole lot of taping/masking just to cover the holes up. I have yet to see an 85 grille painted black that looked like it should, and not like somebody got drunk and sprayed their grille with bbq paint..lol.
This looks good...not sure its stock, but appears to be.

tried the rustoleum "chrome" paint on a test panel. It does not shine like chrome like the cap/ can indicates. If anything it looks more like brushed aluminum. I'm looking into other alternative resources for the chrome paint

I did all of my chrome plastics by first scuffing with 600 grit then a coat of Bull Dog adhesion promoter, prime and wet sand then ppg satin black.

i just played with "chrome" paint , i think this came out pretty well, however i think surface prep is the key to get a mirror shine

I went ahead and had a big sand blaster blast my grille and light bezels. It didnt harm the plastic.I brought them home and used some Sikkens color build primer with plastic adhesion promoter in it,sanded and painted 😀
