The thing with old cars is that there is a time in which they are plentiful and not valuable. Lots of parts are available during this 3-5 year period. Then, they all but disappear. It happened to the Chevelles and other A bodies. It will happen to the G bodies I suspect in the next 2 years. Then, all that will be left in the junkyards are a few stragglers amongst a sea of useless 90's front drivers.

Yeah, that's about what's happened down here in my area. Used to be there were entire sections of the yards with nothing but G-Bodies, hell even the older A-bodies. Now its just like you say, full of mid-late 80s FWD and later accident victims. Although if you drive a '91ish Celebrity Wagon or Cavalier you're in luck!

Pretty much every car I like is getting hard to find it seems. I will be sad when all that is left are cars from the last 10-15 years as there will be nothing worth playing with. They're all too ugly, too heavy and too complicated for me to want anything to do with them. I MIGHT consider a new Mini Cooper were it cheap enough, ($1500 range) but really would rather have the original car. I dunno, there is nothing new left that really makes me say "I want that!"
